The Student Craft Awards are NZ's annual national Student Craft and Design awards.  In 2015 Designtree was commissioned to design and produce a trophy which would evolve each year focusing on the various craft disciplines involved in the awards. The trophy is still being made, using different coloured stains on the American ash timber some years, but the original concept of changing the material and process while retaining the form of the trophy each year fell away.
